NBI Alumni Today

Alaina Bowman

I attended Nicolet from 2005 - 2006.

When senior year of high school came the pressure of trying to figure out the right school for the right price was intense because I thought it would make or break my future.

Working in ministry was a desire of mine and when I heard about NBI I thought it would be a great fit and it was. The year was a Christ-center experience and kept me on track with my education, which was something I really wanted. It built a firmer foundation in my Biblical understanding and gave me lots of opportunities to share my faith in the community and with retreaters.

After some community college classes I transferred to Trinity International University and was able to graduate four years after high school with a degree in Communications.  I am now applying to jobs within the Church.

NBI was a God send that I treasure for not only the experience of being set apart in the North woods, but also learning from professionals the tools of how to apply education and service to glorifying Christ.
